We gather to
celebrate and learn
The Bread Breakers, based in Cambridge, MA, is a vibrant interfaith community gathering for monthly, communal dinners that honor and explore Jewish traditions such as Shabbat and Havdalah. Beyond rituals, these gatherings are about fostering interfaith connections through educational activities, informal conversations, and delightful meals.
This community serves as a dual platform—a space to both impart wisdom and absorb knowledge. Regardless of whether one is deeply entrenched in religious practice, frequently introspective, or simply curious about different beliefs, there's a welcoming space within this group. In a world often fragmented by divisions, this community standsa s a refuge, offering a chance for individuals to connect on a fundamental human level and broaden thier perspectives.
Our mission
transcends mere gatherings
It's about fostering genuine connections, celebrating differences, and nurturing an atmosphere of respect. In a world fraught with discord, this community endeavors to build bridges, creating a tapestry of understanding and compassion.
Communities are better together Here's how we break bread
We host monthly meals centered around Jewish holidays and rituals such as Shabbat and Havdalah. Each event includes an interfaith activity, Jewish education portion, and delicious meal. We love to celebrate through playing music and games.
Interfaith Dialogue
Bread Breaker events prioritize time for respectful, insightful conversation.

Jewish Rituals
The Jewish scholar Ahad Ha'am once said, “More than the Jewish People have kept Shabbat, Shabbat has kept the Jews.”
Bread Breaker events center around Jewish rituals such as lighting candles (above) to welcome in the start of Shabbat, the Jewish day of rest.
Delicious Foods
Food is at the center of our gatherings and we are fortunate to have many talented cooks in our community.
